Vintage Lefton Porcelain Music Box, Goldfinch (#03504), "Bye, Bye, Blackbird", MINT

The Lefton Porcelain Music Box, Goldfinch (#03504), features a pair colorful porcelain yellow goldfinches with additional black, green, and white plumage. The entire piece is hand-painted and has the original foil sticker attached to the underside. The sticker indicates that the piece was made between 1962-1990, and based on other music box dating, I believe this one was made in the 1980s. The music box play via a wind-up mechanism (which still works) and a sliding metal level on the side of the base that turns the music on and off. The tune is the chorus of "Bye, Bye, Blackbird," written in 1926, "Pack up all my care and woe, Here I go, singing low, Bye bye blackbird; Where somebody waits for me. Sugar's sweet, so is she, Bye bye blackbird." With a height of 6.4 inches, width of 3.8 inches, and a weight of 12.3 ounces, this delicate and elegant bisque porcelain piece is a perfect addition for collectors or those looking to add a touch of vintage charm to their home decor.

The music box is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear. The music mechanism works.
