Vintage Imari Phoenix Bird Floral Decorative Plate Brass Stand Raised Relief 9" Hand Painted
Not for use with food. Meant for display only. This is a gorgeous 9" plate from China with two Phoenix birds eyeing the floral bouquet at the center. All of the design is raised slightly from the base and alternates between floral designs the Phoenix birds and lovely branches which tie the whole into a cohesive design. Other layers include flowers and scrolls and one inner circle that appears to be some form of white stone. There are thin layers of white and then some type of gold paint around the rim. The stand is a very sturdy plated brass metal stand. There is some kind of white chip near one of the joinders, where I think the plating has worn off. This is on the inside where it is not visible whe displaying the plate.
