Vintage Ginger Jar/Vase, Blue w/colored enamel, bronze, Angel Fish, Coral, Japan

This vintage ginger jar/vase from Japan features a unique design inspired by underwater themes, with colorful enamel depicting angel fish, seashells, and coral. Made from porcelain and hand-decorated, this 8.5-inch tall vessel weighs 2 pounds and 4 ounces. The base color is a deep blue and the overlay color is a bronze/copper. There is metalwork around the designs as well as enamel in pink, blue, and purple to provide additional color. My research indicates the origin as Japan, but it may have come from China. The intricate detailing and craftsmanship make it a collectible piece! The ginger jar is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear.
