Vintage Fenton Rose Pastel Opalescent #192 Melon Vase 1951 - AS IS 7-3/4” T x 5” W
Vintage early-1950s Fenton Art Glass Melon Vase (#192) in the scarce Rose Pastel Opalescent (Pink Opalescent) colorway. Unlike common Peach Crest which is cased over white milk glass, this line is crafted from a single batch of solid translucent pink glass. The gorgeous milky white opalescence on the ruffles and rib highlights was achieved by hand-heating the glass during production, while the bottom base collar remains a beautiful, solid transparent pink. No logo on the base, accurately dating it to its 1951–1952 production run.
Condition: This piece is being sold strictly AS-IS with damage and is priced accordingly. It is a fantastic opportunity to own a rare mid-century Fenton line at a fraction of the cost for a display shelf. Rim Damage: There is an internal cooling line running down one ruffle fold that breaks the surface at the top, resulting in a small, tactile chip on the rim edge that can be physically felt. Please review the close-up photos. Body Base: Features a couple of microscopic internal dark ash/carbon inclusions trapped inside the pink glass layers from the 1950s furnace.
Measurements are approximate, please see pictures for condition and measurements as they are a part of the description.
