Vintage Caithness Glass 'Razzmatazz' 1992 Paperweight, Designed by Alaister Macintosh

Made by one of the top glassmakers of paperweights in Scotland of it's time. Diameter approx 2.9", height approx 2.75". One tiny flea bite on base, otherwise in excellent condition. The Style: Designed by artist Alastair MacIntosh, this collection is characterized by a central, tight helical spiral or twist configuration suspended within clear crystal. Color Variations: While this example showcases the captivating blue, black, and shimmering white variation, the Razzmatazz line was also widely produced in a striking pink and white swirl pattern. Production Era: These hand-blown pieces were originally introduced in the early 1990s (circa 1992) as limited or open-studio editions.
