Vintage (40s) Westmoreland Milk Glass Sycamore Leaf Platter, Line #1923, 11.8"

This vintage Westmoreland Milk Glass Sycamore Leaf Platter is a beautiful piece of mid-century modern decor from the mid-1940s. Handmade in Grapeville, Pennsylvania, this 11.8-inch platter features a glossy white finish with textured veins on the upper portion and a textured base underneath for stability. Westmoreland Glass began making this pattern in the late 1920s, so it's possible the piece is older than I have listed. The platter is pressed glass and quite substantial, weighing 2 1/2 pounds. This piece comes from the Westmoreland Glass "Leaf Milki Glass" line (also known as Line #1923), listed as 12". Actual dimensions are 11.8" long, 2.1" high, and 11.5" wide. It's perfect for a table display, an addition to your decor, or as a serving platter.

The platter is in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are a couple of spots on the mold seam that are rough from when the glass released.
