Vetro Artistico Murano, DeBiasi Square Murrine Paperweight, Scarce
2.75" square x .90" tall.
The tiny 031 on the top of the label, is the number for De Biasi factory.
De Biasi is a highly respected family-run Murano company that was originally founded in 1925. They are celebrated master artisans who specialize intensely in jewelry, beads, small decorative objects, and precise murrine (millefiori) craftsmanship.
A True Specialized Maker: Unlike the previous codes, De Biasi explicitly specializes in murrine works. This means they likely fabricated the multi-layered floral canes and fused/shaped the square glass block completely in-house.
Verification of Authenticity: The clear-background Vetro Artistico® Murano label carrying code 031 serves as definitive proof that your piece was produced and certified directly by the De Biasi furnace between 2002 and 2016.
In great cond. w/orig label!
