The artwork features a thick-walled, hand-coiled structure with a deeply carved Avanyu (water serpent) design, wrapped around the center of the vessel. It displays a highly reflective, glass-like finish achieved through the painstaking traditional Pueblo technique of hand-polishing the clay with a smooth wet stone before firing.
