Set of 4 - Faros Keramik (Rhodes, Greece), Hand-Made Enamel & Gold Plates, 24K

This stunning set of four plates is from Faros Keramik, located on the beautiful island of Rhodes, Greece. These plates measure 9.75 inches in diameter and feature a lovely floral pattern in deep royal blue, pink, green and yellow in the center, hand-made decoration with enamel and gold gilt detailing. More colors and patterns surround the floral centerpiece, creating a colorful and light-reflecting surface. They are truly beautiful! The scalloped edges add a unique touch to these folk-style plates, perfect for all occasions. The plates have a painted backstamp and are from the 1980s. Three of the plates are identical in color pattern, but one plate has black flowers/petals in the bouquet rather than the royal blue of the other three (see picture 6 for that specific plate). I don't know if that was intentional when this set was made, but you don't notice it unless you're looking for it. All of the plates are in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear and the gold gilt remains very vibrant! The backs have pontil marks and a pass-through hole in the rim should you wish to hang the plates.
