This beautiful hand painted egg is an example of a Chinese Moriage egg, characterized by raised enamel decorations guilded in gold. This egg is featuring dragons, flowers, and other traditional motifs.
Dragons commonly represent power, strength, and good fortune in Chinese culture. These type of hand painted eggs are also influenced by Japanese porcelain traditions, particularly Satsuma ware. A beautiful piece, well taken care off. It does not include a stand or display, but has a flat bottom to stay upright. This Egg measures 10" in diameter, 3-1/4 wide and 4-1/2" Tall.
