This lovely little brooch is marked 166 VE 925 indicating this is Sterling with a gold Wash which was confirmed with an acid test. There are no chips or cracks but there is some wear to the gold Wash finish on part of the rim. The 166 VE indicates an Italian maker. This brooch is about 1-1/8 inch across.
