Handmade Studio Pottery Large Mug, Chocolate Brown Drip Glaze w/Blues, Signed

This handmade studio pottery mug is a large piece with a nice handle for holding/gripping. Crafted in Virginia, this round mug features a scored handle, multiple layers of drip glaze, and a glossy finish. The base of the mug is a warm chocolate brown, with layers of varying shades of brown drip glazes overlaid, often ending in blue tips. Signed by the artist, DMH, tucked under a maker's mark of a triangle enclosing a circle with a horizontal bar over the peak, this 24-ounce stoneware mug is sizable. It is well-made and substantial. My research in American potters has not turned up a match for the potter or pottery house. I have found similar maker's marks from Germany, but I cannot find an exact match.

The mug is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or signs of wear.
