Hand-Carved Boxwood Sage Statue on Wooden Base 8″ Tall Chinese Elder Figure

Hand-carved boxwood sage statue, standing on a dark wood base. Depicts a joyful elder with long carved beard, dressed in flowing robes and holding a symbolic staff or fan—likely representing wisdom or immortality in Chinese tradition. The light honey tone highlights the smooth finish and fine detailing, with virtually no visible grain indicative of boxwood. The figure measures approximately 8" tall not including the attached base. One spot that has what appears to be a small natural crack where there is a small knot (where his beard touches the fan). Some minor dirt built-up in the crevices.
