This is an antique Early American Pattern or Pressed Glass oval pickle or relish dish with stylized handles. This small glass serving dish measures 8.25" by 4" x 1.25" high. It would also be great on a vanity for jewelry or decorative soap. It was made around 1900. It is in excellent condition! History: Early American Pattern Glass, also known simply as "pattern glass," "pressed glass," or Victorian glass, is pressed glass tableware - and novelty glass items - made in pressed molds. Made in America during the Victorian period, ca 1850-1910, EAPG was manufactured in beautiful clear crystal glass and in a limited number of colors. Early American Pattern Glass was rarely marked. It was an inexpensive substitute for expensive cut or blown glass and was used by the housewives in middle class American homes.
