I love finding timeless glass, pottery, and jewelry and giving them a second life. It’s a beautiful way to eliminate waste and celebrate history. Purpose: These cards were released by Rueckheim Bros. & Eckstein of Chicago (the original makers of Cracker Jack) as advertising premiums. Artist: The series is credited to artist B.E. Moreland. Acquisition: At the time, customers could obtain a complete set of 16 cards by mailing in ten side panels from Cracker Jack boxes, or by sending ten cents in silver or stamps plus one box side. Because few people did this, original cards are considered quite scarce today.
