A very LE Caithness Paperweight 'Argo' by Alastair Macintosh c1992. It is LOW number 12 of 650, *but only 420 were ever made.
Gorgeous lampwork ship upon the water. Made with Neodymium glass, this PW changes from purple to blue depending on light source!
Approx. 3" dia.
Mostly great cond. Some tiny scratches. Alastair MacIntosh is an acclaimed Scottish master glass designer and craftsman, widely recognized for his highly intricate and creative art glass paperweights produced for Caithness Glass. Active predominantly during the late 20th and early 21st centuries, MacIntosh became known as a "glass maestro" within the industry. His designs range from abstract swirls and vibrant internal landscapes to clever "optic" weights that change dynamically depending on the viewing angle.
