Art director and sculptor Dan Medina handcrafted this beauty from mixed metals, including the bronze turtles. He used hot patina for coloring and encased all of this beauty of the Earth in lucite. Many consider it a privilege and an honor to own one of these pieces. Dan created a couple versions of turtles in Lucite, however, the two turtle version circling the Earth is the most rare (only 1500 made) and most sought after. They have sold for upwards of $2500. I found only two more listed, and the prices are in the pictures above. I took several pictures to try to capture the beauty in different light and different angles with different backgrounds. The sculpture is in good condition however, upon close inspection, you may notice some very slight issues There are slight surface scratches present. I have heard that these can rub out with baking soda or toothpaste, but I am not about to attempt that. There is also a small area at the top where you can feel a flea bite, please look at the last three photos for reference to the condition. For that reason, I am starting the sculpture at only $777. 77.
