Approx. 8”x 5” Antique R.S. Prussia porcelain biscuit or cracker jar. As is R.S. Prussia porcelain was produced in Germany by the Reinhold Schlegelmilch factory starting in the late 19th century. Key characteristics of R.S. Prussia porcelain, many of which are visible in the item pictured, include: Hand-Painted Decorations: The pieces typically feature intricate, hand-painted designs, often floral motifs like the roses and other flowers seen here. Ornate Molds: The porcelain itself is often molded into elaborate shapes, including decorative handles, feet, and scalloped edges on the lid and base.
