Antique Fratelli Toso Murano Multi Color Millefiori Art Glass Bowl W/Handles UV Glow READ 2” T x 3.25” Opening x 4.5” Handle To Handle
Exceptional, authentic piece of early 20th-century Italian art glass: an Antique Murano Millefiori Twin-Handled Miniature Bowl, attributed to the historic Vetreria Fratelli Toso workshops in Murano, Italy. This piece dates from the circa 1910–1920s era and is a spectacular example of traditional Venetian mosaic glass craftsmanship. Magenese Glow with a 365 UV Light. Crafted using the intricate millefiori (thousand flowers) or murrine technique. Multi-layered, brilliant glass canes are tightly packed, fused, and blown into a gorgeous, high-contrast "kaleidoscope" pattern featuring vibrant starbursts of royal blue, emerald green, canary yellow, red, and white.Handles: Features two exquisitely curled, applied side handles made from matching striped/candy-cane glass that seamlessly flank the rim. Finish: Features the characteristic acid-etched, soft satin-matte exterior finish typical of genuine, early Fratelli Toso production from this period.
Condition: Features a tiny, smooth factory glass burr near the rim from the hand-blown manufacturing process, typical of early 1900s Fratelli Toso production." See last picture.
