Antique Brass Victorian Hair Bow Barrette Patented Sept. 15, 1914 Edwardian
- Normal wear and patina from age and use.
- Patent No. 1110446
- This patent was approved on September 15, 1914 under inventor Albert Lange.
- The barrette was patented as a head-dress retaining device.
- The hinged top piece opens up to hold a ribbon or bow.
- Made of brass with a basket weave pattern, it measures about 1-1/2" long.
- I have attached a printout of the drawing submitted for the patent application that was filed on Oct. 3, 1912. A copy will be sent along with the item.
