A couple of tiny scuffles near the top (hard to see) - see last photos. Millefiori, meaning "a thousand flowers" in Italian, is a glasswork technique that produces distinctive patterns on glass objects. This technique involves the creation of glass rods, known as canes, which are then heated, pulled, and cut into small discs. These discs are arranged and fused together to form intricate designs, often floral or geometric, which are then encased in glass. Murano, an island near Venice, Italy, is historically renowned for its mastery of glassmaking, with the millefiori technique being a hallmark of its artistic output since the 18th century.
