3” tall no chips or cracks. Pinecroft Pottery was a significant Canadian art pottery studio founded in Aylmer, Quebec, by artist Jean-Marie Gauvreau in 1947. The studio operated until 1987, producing a wide range of decorative and functional ceramics, often characterized by their distinctive glazes and forms. Gauvreau was known for his innovative glaze techniques, which frequently resulted in rich, textured finishes that captured the natural beauty of the Canadian landscape. Pieces signed "Pinecroft" or "Pinecroft Aylmer Canada" are sought after by collectors of Canadian art pottery. The studio's work often reflects a mid-century modern aesthetic, blending artistic expression with practical design.
