2 Small Vintage Ceramic Planters, Made in Occupied Japan ('45-'52), Musicians
This vintage ceramic planter set features two small, hand-painted figures of musicians: a boy playing the violin with his dog at his feet, and a girl playing accordion with her duck at her feet. Made in occupied Japan, the planters are made of ceramic and measure 2.75 inches in length, 3 inches in height, and 1.2 inches in width. They are small enough to fit on any tabletop or shelf, and their hand-painted multicolor design adds a touch of whimsy to any room. These original planters were manufactured in Japan between 1945 and 1952 and are a testament to the country's artistic heritage. The set weighs 4 ounces. Both planters are in very good used condition. Neither has chips and the paint remains intact. The boy planter has a small crack on the upper side of the planter (see picture #7). The girl planter has chips on the inside of the planter (see picture #11). The cracks do not go through to the base, however.
