1995 Signed Silvia Diaz Hopi Wedding Hand Made Pottery Vase

Silvia Diaz is recognized as a potter known for SW style pottery. Her work is characterized by a contemporary twist, such as the use of vibrant colors like this green speckled glaze. Also she will use decorative accents such as shown here-leather bound feathers with silver conches or beading. Symbolism of the wedding vase: The two spouts represent the two individuals getting married, and the handle connecting them symbolizes the union of their lives into one. Traditionally, the couple drinks simultaneously from the two spouts as a symbol of their shared life and good fortune. This piece has a sand art glaze finish. It measures approx 5"H, 3" at widest point, 5 Oz. I would also recommend comping this out....I am lower than prices quoted on line. It is fragile and will therefore ship by itself.
