I started saving/collecting antiques as a child, as my adopted grandma was always giving me small trinkets. That turned in to me having several antique boths over the years when I lived on the gulf coast of Florida. Now getting near to retirement I have the time to explore my new home just east of Nashville and find all the goodies it has to offer. My other love is bead work, so maybe it is i just like bright shiny things.

138. Art Nouveau serving plate and 6 dessert plates hand painted

Large plate has the back stamp of Thomas and the 6 dessert plates are marked J and C Bavaria China. The large plate is signed by the artist C. Pollard. Gold around the rim is intact. There are some utensil marks on the plates. Each plate has an iridescent look to them. The serving plate is 10.5 inches and the small plates are 6 inches. I think that these are either late 1800's or early 1900's. Unable to give an exact date.
