Fabulous vintage 1980s Karla Jordan statement necklace featuring polished genuine amethyst gemstone beads in varying sizes and beautiful shades of lavender, violet and soft white.
The dramatic focal point is an oversized removable mosaic shell pendant, designed with a large domed center surrounded by individually fitted shell segments in gorgeous mauve, lavender, cream and warm neutral tones. The natural variation and lustrous finish of the shell create a striking dimensional effect.
This piece is a wonderful example of the bold statement jewelry popular during the 1980s, when oversized pendants, natural materials, colorful gemstones and dramatic accessories became an important part of fashion.
