Striking vintage 16-inch statement necklace featuring a series of individually linked, irregular gold-tone medallions inspired by ancient coins. Each coin-style station has its own wonderfully textured, antiqued design and is accented at the center with a small rich red cabochon.
The intentionally irregular shapes and hand-worked appearance give the necklace an archaeological, Byzantine/Etruscan revival feel, with a warm aged gold finish that beautifully complements the red accents. Finished with a hook-style closure.
