Nippon is made in Japan. They are distinguished by the "Nippon" mark, mandated by the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890. This occurred until approx 1921. The plate is 8.5" Diameter, there are no chips or cracks. There is an area on the back that was missed by glaze. Stamped Nippon on back. The weight is approx 11.3 Oz.
