Strathern Glass was established in Crieff, Scotland, during the mid-twentieth century and became famous for producing exceptional art glass paperweights. Master craftsmen utilized traditional techniques to arrange complex millefiori cane patterns by hand before encasing them in crystal-clear glass domes. These Scottish paperweights gained international acclaim for their vibrant colours, precise geometric arrangements, and exceptional clarity.

Collectors prize these vintage Scottish pieces for their meticulous craftsmanship and unique artistic variations inherent in studio glass production. Displayed in homes as decorative art objects, they represent a significant chapter in twentieth-century British and Scottish glassmaking history. Their enduring appeal lies in the brilliant optical effects created by the magnified interior canes.
